Nursing Scholarship Opportunities
General Scholarships within All Medical Fields 
- Mayo Clinic Merit Scholarship-The Mayo Medical School offers scholarships to new students. The recipients of the scholarship are chosen by the admissions committee.
- Straightforward Media Nursing School Scholarship- Straightforward Media offers a scholarship to nursing students currently enrolled in school. The amount of the scholarship is $500 and is offered each semester.
- The Ford Scholars Program- grants scholarships to 100 Oregon based medical students each year. The scholarship isn't for a set amount of money, but promises to cover 90% of college tuition and costs.
Minority Scholarship Opportunities
- Med Surge Nurse Scholarship- The Academy of Medical Surgical Nurses offers a scholarship to its student members that are enrolled in a nursing course. The amount awarded is $500.
- MNM Scholarship Program- Minority Nurse Magazine offers scholarships to nursing students who are working towards a Bachelors degree in nursing. The amount awarded ranges from $1,000 to $5,000.
- NAHN Scholarship Program- The National Association of Hispanic Nurses offers scholarships to its members in the amount of $1,000.
Scholarships for Disadvantaged Students
- NVCC Nursing Scholarships for Disadvantaged Students-The Northern Virginia Community College offers scholarships to environmentally disadvantaged students who are pursuing an Associates degree in nursing. The amount awarded varies.
